Freshers: Here Are 5 Events The Guild Are Hosting This Semester.

We all know that moving away can be difficult: missing your friends and family, being fed every night, and not doing your own laundry. Well, that won’t change but the Guild are hosting many events over the next few weeks, so you can explore the North West without splashing your student loan.

1. Visiting Chester.

Spend the day exploring spotting the Roman ruins, hitting the shops and ticking this beautiful city off your uni bucket list. A day out not to be missed! This event is low-cost, covering your train ticket to and from Chester. You can access the ticket page here.

2. Visting Hoylake: Bird Watching Trip.

Join the Guild as they visit Hoylake to explore the marshes and look for the wonderful wildlife. Do some birdwatching, chat with other likeminded students, and enjoy the fresh air away from studies. They will provide the binoculars but remember to bring some shoes you don’t mind getting muddy, and a coat in case it rains!

Note: This event is for students in UoL halls (Dover, Crown, Philharmonic, Tudor, Vine, Melville, Greenbank) and certain private halls only.

3. Dock Tour

Get to know your new city: Liverpool’s world famous docks are possibly one of the most iconic spots in the city.

Join the Guild as they make their way down to explore the waterfront and find out what makes the docks so special to Liverpool. You can access the free tickets here.

4. Knowsley Safari Park

Fancy meeting an array of exotic animals? Why not join the Guild on their safari park trip. You can access the tickets here.

5. Visit York.

Spend the day exploring the famous Shambles, visiting the cathedral and bagging some souvenirs. A day out not to be missed!

6. Visit Manchester and Manchester Christmas Markets.

Enjoy a day out to Manchester Christmas markets to really get you in the festive spirit, and take the chance to explore the city of Manchester too!
