SIREN | Review

All day breakfast and brunch is something I can definitely get on board with. SIREN is an independently run, casual restaurant located in the Baltic Triangle. An ideal choice after a heavy night out in Liverpool, when you roll out of bed at midday and are craving some delicious food to cure your hangover.

The Vibe And Service

As soon as we entered the restaurant we felt instantly at ease, with the calm and laid-back vibe. The interior is something straight from a Pinterest board, with a gorgeous pink, grey and rose gold colour scheme throughout. Attention to detail was particularly impressive, with the afternoon tea stands even being rose gold. With a high ceiling creating a spacious environment and the glass fronted building allowing an abundance of natural light, a very positive and warm atmosphere is created, enhanced by the twinkling fairy lights. A simply dreamy aesthetic.

The staff were so welcoming and at ease, simply adding to the relaxed vibe. When my friend asked for a drink that wasn’t available, our waitress suggested an alternative to meet my friend’s needs, which impressed us. Throughout our visit we were kept updated on when our food would be with us, a service which can’t be faulted.

The Food

The menu is out of this world. From chorizo hash to banana and nutella waffles, you are spoilt for choice! The traditional fry up is served in meat, veggie and vegan form. Not only does the menu offer some insane breakfast plates, but also some mouth watering lunch dishes, such as roast chicken gnocchi and a beetroot falafel burger.

We each chose a different brunch option, but were all equally impressed with the quality of the dishes and the presentation. I opted for the the steak and eggs (£8), as I’d never seen such a dish offered on a brunch menu before. It was a delicious meal, which came hot and plentiful. I particularly enjoyed the potato and leek hash, so tasty! Each dish seemed unique to the restaurant, putting their own spin on the classic brunch dishes.

The Drinks

The drinks are just as Instagram friendly as the food, with decorative dried rose petals to complement the rose lemonade. Tap water was already on the table for us when we sat down (ten extra brownie points). For those wanting a boozier brunch the drinks list offers a selection of cocktails, wines and beers!
