Can you sum up your campaign in under 10 words?
Easing cost of living, championing sustainability, and putting students first 🙂
What made you decide to run for officer?
I wanted to run for officer as I know from experience how rewarding it is to bring to life the things you are passionate about. I want to transform those passions into meaningful change for our student community. I also know I want to ensure every student feels heard, supported and apart of a community in which you are welcomed and empowered.
How have you been involved with the Guild during your time at uni?
I am passionate for sustainability so love getting involved! I have volunteered at the swap shop as well as the being an auditor on behalf of the guild to ensure we are fairtrade accredited in our campus cafes, shops etc. I have also undertaken bystander intervention training hosted by the guild. I love attending society events such as watching debates and plays, and truly believe there is something for everyone at the guild!
What’s your favourite spot in Liverpool?
A tough one as there’s so many! As a Smithdown student I’d have to say either Sefton Park or the Brookhouse. But I can’t leave out the firm favourite Hatch, which is where the Wednesday socials always end up 🙂
