Can you sum up your campaign in under 10 words?
Socialist, anti-cuts, anti-war candidate fighting for funding not fees!
What made you decide to run for officer?
I think it is important that socialist ideas such as free education are given a platform. I also think it is important to use my platform as a candidate to bring attention to the ongoing unite campaign to establish a recognised trade union branch at the guild in order to protect the rights of the 230 part time and full time staff that work here.
How have you been involved with the Guild during your time at uni?
I ran for guild president last year on a similar platform, and it was great to see how many people these ideas resonated with. I have also been involved in campaigns around campus such as the Walkout Against Trump campaign in September and the ongoing Funding Not Fees campaign.
What’s your favourite spot in Liverpool?
Everton Park, which was established by an excellent socialist council in the 1980s!
